Circuit City has a decent one for about thirty bucks..no speakers or amp, just the turntable..thrift stores are a good place to pick up the all-in-one combo..record player, tape player, and AM/FM radio. They’re all nice to have. Just make sure you can get replacement stylus’ for whatever brand you buy. The stylus, or "needle" is found at the tip of the arm, the part that actually contacts the grooves in the vinyl.

I can’t recommend a record player… but I can recommend you not try opening a record store. Very few companies even make records anymore. They’re usually only done in limited quantities these days. The only way you might possibly have any success in my opinion would be to do something online where you buy/sell albums to audiophiles and collectors of vintage memorabilia. They’re a picky bunch though and would only be interested in rare items or records in exceptionally good quality. Don’t mean to squash you’re dream… but I think you’d be better off to keep your records a hobby. I miss the days of record albums too though… oh.. and it might interest you to know that the sound quality of records is actually superior to CD’s. Most people think it’s the other way around. I’ve studied audio engineering and am a musician myself…. a record actually produces a continuous sound wave… verses the digital plot points on the sound wave that CD’s reproduce. Anyway.. good luck with your record player shopping.
