Technics Mark IVs are the best but expensive. In your price-range, definately the ION. I have a USB ION for the purpose of transfering vinyl & cassettes (AUX) to MP3 format. The ION sounds pretty good actually. And it doesn't vibrate badly. The Crosley, however, not only sounds 'cheap' (in that the bass is not very deep and the sonics are too 'fuzzy') and it has a bad notion to want to vibrate when you're playing it loud. So get the ION and stay away from the Crosley. Don't worry about 'looks', it's the 'sounds' that matter. d:-)

You really don't even need to spend that much on a USB turntable.
I got an Audio-Technica record player for my birthday a few months ago and it works great. It doesn't look flashy like the Urban Outfitters ones, but it costs under $100 and it sounds good and is easy to use for ripping vinyl to mp3s.
