Where to find a good record player?
I'm trying to find a record player online that is pretty good but not too expensive. And also a good site to find records. Can anybody help?

E-Bay is the best place to buy online. You can also try secondhand shops like Goodwill and Salvation army, as many people don’t know what they’re giving away. (You’ve got to do this locally, though.)
I’d suggest a model from the late ’70s through the mid ’80s. The modern units are cheaply made, have weak tonearms, plastic everything, and cost more than you’d pay for a decent used unit.
Just search for Technics, Pioneer, Dual, Thorens, etc (the latter 2 command higher prices.)
If you’re hellbent on a new one- consider the Technics SL-1200 (the DJ model that is legendary.) They ain’t cheap but they’re made as well as they were back in the ’70s and they’ll hold their value. Cheaper models made by Gemini and others (see sites like Musician’s Friend/Guitar Center) will still trump the consumer grade plastic crap made by Sony, etc.
You can also score a new base model Technics on Amazon, but it will be only marginally better than the consumer grade stuff sold at Best Buy. Just search Technics SLBD20D on their site.
They just don’t make ‘em like they used to.
Good luck.
You can find a record player at best buy for under $100. I haven’t tried buying any records lately because all of mine are in great shape and I just play em for the memories.
I’d try going to an antique store, you might be able to get a good deal there, and maybe you will even find the records that you are looking for there too;) that’s what my parents usually do.
Good luck!!
