Where can I have a broken stuffed toy music box fixed?
My wife has a small toy bear that has a motor inside. It plays music and the head rotates with the music. It's like a stuffed animal, but with an internal motor. It's about 30 yrs old. The music box isn't working anymore. Where would I take it to get it fixed?
Check with your local doll hospital (yes there are such things, look in your yellow pages) and see if they work on such an item. If it's just the music that's not working and the head still moves that should be an easy fix for them. Otherwise, there are repair shops that specialize in music box repair (internet search "music box repair" or check yellow pages); they might have the willingness to operate on the bear. Tricky situation; you sort of need both types of repair specialists.
