Check out http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers and choose the features you’re interested in, then check out the reviews on the players that come up.
Personally, I love my Apex 1100W, I’ve had it for about 4 years now and it still works flawlessly (cost less than $60!), but I don’t think they make that model anymore. Not sure how the newer Apexes perform, but you could check them out on the above link.

Walmart has quite the selection.My cheap DVD Player plays all kinds of Discs & I got it at Walmart plus I got there DVD Recorder as well it’s Awsome.. I just looked at both of mine they are APEX & yes they are still being Sold at Walmart..Good Luck
