What is a good software I can use to record my own CD's that I can play in my car? I tried using Windows media player but the quality was not very good and some of the cd's would not play.
Thanks
Try nero, which allows you to create compilation CDs (i.e. upload songs onto a CD) and then burn them do disk
It’s also really easy to use.
I hope this helps ^^
You Can use Nero,It has some good features Some players won’t support high speed so write CDs in a low speed like 16x
Older CD players do not recognize or play music in mp3 format..
To be recognized and played by any CD player, new or old, the files need to be in wav format.
This will limit the number of tracks to about 18 - 20 but is the only option.
A burn speed of 16x has been suggested. I use a max of 24x and have never had any problems.
Do not exceed this speed though.
Burning at lower speeds reduces the chance of errors during the burn process.
Also do not engage in any other activity on the computer while burning is in progress.
I use an app called Deepburner Free to burn my disks but the tracks are already in wav format.

Another free burning app is CDBurner XP:

Only use CD-R type disks.
I’ve never used Windows Media Player to burn disks but you need to select either "music CD" or "audio CD" as the type to burn. This will automatically convert mp3 files to wav format.
If you want to convert your tracks beforehand this free app from Koyote Soft is ideal:
