what are good but cheap record players/turntables?
i don't know a thing about record players but i was hoping to find one for my dad for christmas. i'm looking for something hopefully under 0 and preferably one that's antique looking. i found a nice looking 4-in-1 crosley rochester turntable but i read some mixed reviews on it so i'm not sure if i want to buy it. are there some other good brands? should i just get a modern one instead? thankss
I have bought and sold a few turntables. Most of the older ones are pretty good quality. I have one right now that is from the 70’s and its small suitcase style with the speakers built right into it. It was from the schools and pretty well maintained. Check out the second hand stores. (Salavation Army, Value Village etc) usually you can find them there. Only things is, try it out. Needles for older turntables are very expensive.
Pricewise I paid $5 to $15 for the ones I bought. Good Luck and Merry Christmas.
