Using Vinyl records in England?
I am moving to England soon, and I want to take my vinyl records with me, and buy a vinyl player when I get there. Does anyone know if I can use my U.S. made vinyls on an English record player, or should I just buy a U.S. made player, and then buy a power converter?
No problem. Yeah, it’s not like video formats. I’ve sold many LPs around the globe and all can be played on their country’s turntables. It’s just the electrical power source that is different. You may want to purchase your turntable in the UK unless you already have one. Then just buy the converter.
Hope this helps.
They are the same i beileve. but im sorry if im wrong
I’d get a british table, just to be safe
I know that the voltage is different
more important is the CPS (cycles per second)
In many parts of Europe, it’s 50 cps, while USA is 60 cps
that’s something that a voltage converter can’t help you with, so the table would be off on the speed
I know that Germany is 50 cps, not sure about England
the LP’s them self couldn’t care care less
but the table uses the cps to set it’s speed
