Turntablism: CD vs. Vinyl?
I want to start on Turntablism (Scratch DJing), like the kinda stuff done by Sid (Slipknot) or ST1TCH (Mushroomhead).
So my question is, which is better, CD players with Jog Wheels or Vinyl Turntables?
I already have a bunch of CDs, but if vinyl is easier to work with/better quality I'd get some records.
The main kits I'm looking at are these:

Or

Or

i would say vinyl is much better for scratching and beat juggling. i’ve tried both, but have and always will be a vinyl person. you just get a better feel with turntables.
i looked at your possible Numark choices and your best bet is the battle pack. these sets are good and are made for beginners but if you look on craigslist.com for your area you could find a pair of used Technics 1200 for the same price as the numark packages. 1200s are the best turntables you could get. i’ve had mine for about 7 years and they still work flawlessly.
just do your research.
