The only way I think is to play them throught the dvd player on my computer. But it won't let me burn the dvd on to my computer but i know i have a dvd burner. What can I do?

I'm looking for a record player (probably -0) price range just to play records with good sound quality and a classy look, I was looking at the Sony PS LX300USB - turntable and the ION IPTUSB Portable Turntable, any suggestions? Im new at this and don't care too much if they convert into mp3's or not, thanks! :)

I want to record tv shows that are on OnDemand with a DVD player on a R-DVD so I can send it to a pc. I have a Sony Bravia TV and a I have a few different DVD players I could use, however one doesn't have the record button on the player or remote.

and if it helps i think i might get a Pioneer SX -535 vintage amp to go with it

we bought a vcr dvd combo player from sony a while ago, and it was able to record for a while but now the problem is that i cant tune the vcr to record channel three which is the only channel i can use to record shows

I have a Go Video VHS-DVD combo player that will record VHS tapes to DVD. But the problem is that the DVD will only play on the Go Video player. I was wondering if I need a special kind of recordable disc (because I've heard Sony is kinda fussy). Or does the speed matter (HQ, SP, LP)? Please, any help would be appreciated.

I have one of those Crosley record player that does not have a line out (but for some reason has a line in....). Since the speakers on this thing are pretty weak, I want to connect them to my surround sound system (which I'm using as a 2 channel system right now). The receiver has multiple inputs in the form of RCA jacks. So I was thinking of 2 options:

1. I can connect the speaker wires in the Crosley to a set of RCA output jacks (+/- wires) and then just use an RCA connector between the Crosley and the receiver.. doing this, I'm concerned about feeding the speaker level input to a line-level input (on the receiver)... will this kill my receiver or speakers?? (receiver/speakers ~100 watt/channel @ 8 ohms).

2. I can catch the Crosley signal before it goes to its internal amp and then to the speakers and attach the RCA at that point... problem here is, I have no idea where that amp is.. there is a drum on the volume control that has wires going out of it in the form of 2 + wires and 2 - wires (on the circuit board where they connect it says R, L, G (ground), R, L, SW)... so I'm thinking those wires are already the converted signal (amplified)... is the drum on the connected to the volume control the amp?? I don't see anything else that could be... everything else is circuit boards..

let me know if you can provide any info.. the receiver is a Sony 100 wpc 8ohm, speakers are 125 watt/8ohm and the record player is a Crosley CR-66

Thanks!

Hi,

I have a Sony DVD rmt-d175a and I'd like to know how to record with it. Not sure where the manual is. need online one of advice. Please help. Thanks in advance,

Sparrowess

i recorded it on a Sony DVD disk

We have a roughly twenty years old Sony stack system featuring a record player, twin cassette deck and five spaced cd player.

I am very fond of it and will rue the day when it finally goes the way of all good things.

I like the sound and smell of our old scratchy vinyl records the oldest of them once belonging to my parents plus a couple of old 78's one being the skater's waltz.

I played an old 45 earlier on which was one of our early purchases,I wonder if you can recall Neil Young's 'Heart of Gold', I would post a link but the one I've found isn't a very good copy, I've also got some old 331/3 LP's which I love to listen to for old times sake.
Hubby groans as he would much prefer to play the more modern day remastered versions.

So can you and do you still like to play records?

This camcorder is for a school. We are creating podcasts for the web and DVDs for distribution throughout the school. Believe it or not, I do not have DVD players on my classroom computers so I have a portable that is shared in the classroom. Hence, we will create DVDs from one shared computer but the students need to edit and upload via usb. Cards are easier than cable connections. I've been eyeing the Sony DCR-HC90 Mini DV (with Memory Stick) and the Sony DCR-DVD403 (with DVD). I'm on a time clock (I have a grant) and I'm not familiar with camcorders. I'm limited to a cost of about 700.

I've got a Sony Blu-Ray Disc/DVD Player BDP-BX37... So if I have a show recorded on my DVR, can I somehow use my Blu-Ray Player to record it onto a blank disc? If so, please be specific as to how; I'm not really tech - savvy. If I can't, can you think of any other way to do this? Thanks! :)

I have a Sony Stereo Turntable System PS-X20 and wanted to start using it. It is missing the needle used to play the records. I was wondering what needle it requires and where can I get one!?

When my grandma passed I got her record player, it was amazing until I realized that the crazy old lady never even replaced her needle. Unfortunately the record player is extremely old and from a company most people haven't heard of. Now I'm wondering will a needle for a Sony or a Crosley fit in my Electro Brand (model 9166) player. If you know where i can get a needle for my player please also help, It plays 33's and 45's

I have tried Memorex and Sony -R and +R and neither will play on my DVD players at home. I'm trying to record some movies i have saved to my computer and watch them on the big TV.

I have my ION record player hooked into the CD input on my Sony receiver (8ohm/100 watts per channel)... I'm only using the left and right channels right now (not surround sound). The receiver is using a couple of pinnacle 2 way bookshelf speakers. i noticed that the sound is kind of bright... especially around the "s" sounds or any symbols.. any ideas? could this be a problem of the speakers? I have my TV hooked up through the receiver/speakers as well and I have not noticed a problem there...
I forgot to add.. the record player has a built in pre-amp (i think all ion's do). therefore it should only be plugged into the line inputs of the receiver (not phono)

There's a button that says "Rec to USB" then Type A USB Port
How do I use that?
Can I use that to record my PS3 gameplay?
Anyway it's Sony DVD Home Theatre System DAV-TZ200

I recently scored a great deal on a full stereo set, it included a 5 cd changed, a dual cassette player (with high speed dubbing), AM/FM tuner, the amplified for it all, and of course, to put the cherry on the top; a very nice Sony Turn table with 2 speeds; the common 33 1/3 and then the other common, 45. Sadly, I ran a test (after noticing bad sound quality) on it and realized it spun at approximately 29 /12 RPM, causing bad distortion in the record. I checked the motor and belt and neither of them looked damage - not that I know for sure since I am not completely familiar with Record Players.
I just assumed the Motor was not functioning right, and I was told getting my turn table fixed would cost as much as buying a new one, so, I have been on the search for a somewhat cheap turntable.
It needs to have RCA cables to connect into my amplifier, and needs to be thin to be able to fit in stereo case that all the equipment came in. (not like laptop-thin, but you know, nothing humongous). Aside from that, I only use 12" vinyls, and don't plan on owning and 45s, so so long as it can play 12" vinyls - at the correct speed - I am fine with that.

I have a Sony LBT-ZT4 stereo through which I'd like to play a record player/turntable. I'm wondering what I'd need to look for in a record player/turntable in order for this to work. The inputs on the stereo are a mini-stereo and a 1/4" stereo that is amplified (i.e. I can play my guitar through it). So would I be able to play a turntable without a preamp through the amplified input? Or would I need a turntable with a preamp, even though the input is amplified? I really don't wanna buy a receiver or any other components. I don't know that much about stereo equipment and all that stuff, and I know almost nothing about turntables except that I like how they sound... Also, I'd love some suggestions about nice, sub-0 turntables (new or used) and any personal experience people have with connecting record players to stereo sets. Thanks!!!!

my friend's grandmother passed away and i we were wondering just out of curiosity how much each of them would go for:

-"nestlea quick" tin from 1960's
-Sony radio, still working and volume goes LOUD from 1965.

thank you!

Okay, so we have DVD-R recordable DVDs (120 min/4.7 GB-Sony AccuCore) They're version 1.3/1x-16x. Can I use these DVDs to record videos from the Net and then play them on a TV through a DVD player? If so, how?

How do you connect a Sony portable CD player to your laptop so you can>play a CD on Walkman while it is connected to laptop>and use the laptop CD burner to "record" what is playing from the Walkman?

tape deck. I want to record my LP vinyles and I would like to record all that music on my lap top which is also sony viao, and then burn cd's for those reccords. can some one patiently explain how to do that. My lap top has cd burner. My thought is to have a lead go into the head phone socket of the reciever and other end plug in to red color mic socket. and than use the windows media player as recorder, is that possible, i am not tech savy but can apply my mind to it if there is some guidence.

I recently got some new software. It came on a mini disc. You know, a CD-ROM, just small. Well, my computer won't read it. The disc spins, I can hear it. But Windows says that nothing is in the drive. And, just so you know, I don't have a crappy computer. It's pretty new. It seems to me that the laser isn't reading the disc, but that doesn't make any sense. There's a space in the disc holder thing for a mini-disc. What's going on and how can I fix it?

For the record, the software is for my brand new (just got it not 4 hours ago) Sony Walkman MP3 player (The model is NWZ-E436F). I know I don't need this software to import my stuff onto it, but it's rather annoying. It's not just this disc either. I previously got some drivers for a USB data cable to import stuff to my LG phone (I forget the model) on a mini-disc. It didn't read it either. I thought it was a fluke, a bad disc. But this just proves to me that my computer has a problem with mini-discs.

I know this is long, but please help!
