I want to buy a portable record player on ebay but i have no clue what size record they play!
I have recently acquired an old portable record player and when i spin the table at 33 1/3, I hear a slight rattle sound coming from the table.
What could be causing this?
I found a old westinghouse stereophonic high fidelity record player its a portable record player and the speakers attach to the sides ,its really kinda cool .must have been really bad ass back in the day lol. The Model # is 56 acs 2 if anyone could tell me what year theses were made it would be cool. o yeah it sounds pretty damn good! i was very shocked. thanks for any help!
I have an old portable record player from an elementary school. The thing's gotta be 50 years old. I still use it all the time, but need to find a new needle and I have no idea where to look. It's an Audiotronics.
I recently purchased a portable record player possibly from the 50s. When i set the needle down the turning plate slows down and stops because the arm is too heavy and the sound is a bit disorted what could be wrong and how can i fix it?

I bought an antique portable record player at a garage sale and I have spent hours looking for info online for it and I can't find anything on it let alone it's value.
It is a symphonic solid state
4 speed
model # 3pn324 platinum
serial d247a 11543
I have a Silvertone portable record player, model 8272. The weird thing is that I can't find any other images or details on this product, such as year released, schematics, or any other general details. I have tried several websites with listings of many Silvertone models, but they never had any information on this. If someone could shed light on this it would be much appreciated.
Mine : I miss my ETCH-A-SKETCH and my portable record player that could play all 4 speeds of records!
Its a portable record player that plays all size records and stereo also. Has cassette port also and
CD player. That name is all I have on the front of
the player. It was a gift so that is why I have no
other info.
I found an old portable record player, put a disk on there and turned the disk with my hand manually. Music started coming out. How?
It plugs into the wall. But don't the speakers at least need power? There isn't a battery in there..
Actually I don't think it's coming from the speaker. It actually seems to be coming from the needle.
But it's just a tiny needle. How can it act as a relatively loud speaker while also reading the grooves in the disk?
Now I'd taken a push pin and used that as a needle. same effect. That's really strange!
