I have LOTs of vinyl (and some tapes) which I would like to listen to on an MP3 player. When I say I want the optimum way, my equipment is a 2.8Ghz P4 1.5GHz, with a Sharp CD-BP series stereo. Not an audiophiles choice of equipment, but of a standard that meets my needs happily.

There are ouputs for headphones. There are the main spkrs plus the option of a rear pair (but no bass). This unit is the dedicated input source for the PC (record deck via Aux input). This is the dedicated source that would feed into the PC which would convert between media (this is legal). I would in fact burn CDs and MP3's.

What is the best way to connect them? I could use the stereo record input via Line-In on the sound card. Or I could connect to the motherboard Line-in inputs. My worry is that if I use th speaker as th driver source, one mistake once will blow the front end into the orbit of Mars.

I could use the headphone output.
There are several options, and some carry risks. I am not the first persoin with this application. What is the best answer? Is there a special hardware solution I could build?

For a one-off job I would do one oth th things listed, but This is on a larger scale.

I would appreciate any help from someone who has done this on a largee scale.

My MP3 Player has an FM radio and I can record music off the radio, Is it legal for me to record the radio and listen to the MP3?

Back in the eighties I used to record the radio onto tape and listen to it later, was that legal then?

My mp3 has line-in recording available. what port do I plug the line-in recording into on my cd player? I want to load songs on my mp3 player without using a computer.

Okay...so I got this really nice RCA stereo for Christmas. It also came with an mp3 player that you can hook onto the stereo to record songs from the radio...BUT....I really wanted to be able to use the mp3 player with my computer also. And for me to be able to do that this guy said that I have to download the newest firmware and windows software and I was just wondering if anyone could help me figure all this stuff out. Please?

Thanks a lot if you can!

Jeannie

We are working on a display in the local museum that will allow students to dial a number or numbers on an antique rotary phone and hear a digital recording of historical interviews. Can anyone help us figure out the technological interfaces needed to go from the rotary click to trigger an MP3 player with the interviews? Thank you.

i want one that can at least play cds, am/fm radio and also something where i can convert the music onto my mp3 player?
i want a vintage styled one and i heard crosley wasnt that great.
and also i dnt wanna pay more than 200 ill go a bit over if i have to.
this is going to be a gift for my boyfriend so please help? thank youu

I have one and I'm just not sure if it will record for over a few seconds. Do any MP3 players record like a Digital Voice Recorder? I don't want to pay -50 for a Voice Recorder if I could have an MP3 Player that would do the same thing.
