something unnoticable, that i can put into a pocket and still record without losing too much voice quality. I could use my mp3 player, but its way too complicated, have to go to menu, search for record, press start ... I need something simplier that I can just press a button to start recording.

Earlier today I bought an mp3 player however when I add music to it, it doesn't show up on the mps player itself while it says on my PC the music is on there, the music is all mp3, all on, fully transferred but the mp3 player display just says 'no file' what the heck is up with it???

I want to record the themes from TV shows on DVD or parts of movie soundtracks, just capture a small part of the audio or record it as it plays, so I can transfer it to my MP3 player. Previously suggested programs are all video converters that mention nothing about just recording audio w/o video. The simpler the program the better, as well.
All I want to do is, while a video is playing on my computer, record a small part of the audio as a single sound file.

I've had for about a year and I am trying to remove the songs that were on it and transfer them to my Playstation Portable (PSP). I first turned it on and listened to a couple songs to make sure it worked properly (which it did). Then I connected it to a usb port in the front of my computer and I tryed to search it for the songs I was just listening to. All that was displayed was AUDIBLE, CONFIG, RECORD, SYS_CONF.DNC, WMPInfo, and CONFIG.TCC. Since the search didn't show the results i was looking for, I decided to search it manually, but I could only find the same files and folders that were in the search. I then unpluged the mp3 player to see if the songs were still there and played properly (which they were and did) because before my computer automatically formated my mp3 player. I tryed to find the songs through Windows media player since thats how I originally put them on, there were no songs but half the memory was filled.

I tried with my MP3-player but the music was too loud and it all got distorted. Is there a low-budget mp3-player that records live-music well enough?

I know I've seen it before but cant find it again. I'm looking for a MP3 player that has a stereo input recording jack, 3.5mm, so that I could use a patch cord from my tape players headphone jack to dub my tapes, in stereo, into my MP3 player.

I have been suspicious of my husband for the past several weeks because he's grooming himself a lot, gone missing often for hours and won't take my calls or text messages, and has been very rude to me for small things. Also, he has come up with several reasons to not be intimate with me. We haven't done anything for over two months.

Yesterday, he wanted me to drive his mom to a town about 45 min from here so she could put flowers or his dad's grave. I knew something was up so I left my mp3 player recording and this is what I got, and I'm wondering what he's doing exactly. There were three conversations over two hours and here are the things I heard him say for sure:

he called a lady named Deb and asked her is she liked his ideas. He mentioned something about 00 being a lot of money, the health and mental wellbeing of 'these girls',
he also said something about head shots and three girls being too prissy and then he laughed.
He mentioned head shots again and then he must have went onto the patio cause I couldn't hear the rest of that call. A little later, I heard him calling massage parlor looking for availability and asked who's working and what kind of build they have. He seemed to know their names.
The last call he was very flirtatious and talked kinda low. I was able to hear him talking about a well-known massage parlor here in Tulsa called 'all about you' and how he liked their lobby, staircase and rooms at the top. He mentioned that he liked places that people have to be buzzed in cause it's safer. One lady he talked to said shed been attacked, per his comment to her.

Please tell me what he's doing?! I don't know what do to & ive been up all night trying to figure this out. Thank you!

I've got a new iPod Nano (2nd gen I think) and I want to get a case before my 15 day return policy is over. I was looking at a variety of a cases and I wondered what case will protect the iPod better. You see, I've got a terrible record for portable media. I've frozen an mp3 player (somehow) and dropped the other out a window.

I have a mp3 player (iRiver E100) that can record audio. I want to voice chat with a friend, can I use my mp3 as a micro or I just have to buy one?

I have a lifetime Sirius subscription, but barely use it anymore because Sirius is blocked at work and I usually listen to CDs in the car.

I would like to get a new portable receiver for:

1. Use at gym as a MP3 player
2. Record Howard Stern or Sports and listen to during work.
3. Use in the car as well for talk and/or music.

I usually use the internet to listen when I'm home I have no need for the receiver.

Any recommendations on what will be the best for me.
I can't access Sirius at work, even just to look at the receivers.

I do know they have the Stiletto but I hear alot of bad reviews about that.
I noticed XM has something called the XMP3 which looks pretty good, but can you use that with Sirius?

My mother wants to rip her old vinyls (33 1/3, 45, and 78 RPM) into MP3s that she can play on an MP3 Player. Can anyone recommend a good USB Turntable that I can get her for Christmas? She has a laptop so recording them through a sound card isn't an option.

Recorded books use many CD's (up to 20) and are difficult to listen to when moving around because of the need to change CD's. I would like to load the one's I have and find new one's to down load diectly to an MP3 player. Listening to music would be a secondary use.
I would like to use it while travelling, doing light exercise and jobs around the house.

I use my MP3 to record the teacher in my classroom. I have a Creative Vision M. How do I take what I recorded by microphone, and have the end result burn it on CD? That way I can delete it out of my MP3 player and still have my notes.

I am looking for a digital voice recorder (DVR) that I can use to record lectures. In my research for a recorder, I have found that it seems to be just as cost effective to buy an MP3 player.

I wonder if the MP3 player is just a good voice recorder for dictation vs. lectures like the DVR. Do you know?

Should I buy an MP3 player for the added features versus the DVR. If so, please suggest one that meets the following criteria.

1) it should have a built in mic
2) it should have good capacity
3) it should be able to record voices clearly in a classroom setting
4) i should be able to tranfer the recorderd voice files to my computer through a USB cable

My cousin used to have an mp3 player that would connect to where the speakers to my computer hook up to. We would play a music player with her mp3 hooked up to the computer and start recording the music like that. It wasn't a usb cable it was more like a cable that would go in a mic, speaker hole on the computer. What mp3s do that 'cause I'd like to get one.

A while back I asked if the RIAA would have issues with selling an mp3 player on ebay loaded with music. Most people came back saying the RIAA very much would have a problem with that. However I still don't get it. How come it's ok to sell used CD's, DVD's, VHS tapes, records, etc? There is a legal market for all of these items. How come I can't resell my mp3 collection??? Isn't an mp3 just another form of media?
