Do I have to buy a microphone for my computer or can I record myself with my MP4 player and upload it to Audacity/Realtrek?
Ion power play LP USB-powered vinyl to MP3 turntable speaker sound?
I bought the Ion power play LP USB-powered vinyl to MP3 turntable and it works fine and I've got it to play through the speakers on my computer (by adjusting the microphone default settings on my computer. My normal speakers are also set to default and are used when I play records) however it stills plays through the speakers on the turntable so I have got two sounds playing at different volumes and I was just wondering if anyone knew how to turn the sound on the record player off? Its annoying to have the background noise from the record player too. The sound would appear to be coming from the base of the tonearm. The speaker isn't listed in the little book I got with it though listing the different parts. I can live with it if I can get the sound turned off but obviously this would be better and allow me to enjoy the music fully.
I have a samsung yp-p2 and it has a microphone in it, that is used for voice memo recording. Is there any way I can use it to connect to my computer through it's USB cord, and use it as a live microphone, particularly for voice chat?
I have a cassette player that plays a special type of cassette and there are many songs I do not recognize. I have heard of shazam for cellular phones but for some reason I cannot access their website. Also, I cannot upgrade my phone at this time. Is there a computer program that can recognize the title and artist of a track using a microphone?
I connected a portable tape player to my computer using the headphone out on the tape player and both the line in and microphone jack on my computer. I tried turning the volume up and down on the tape player and computer. All I get is a very quiet humming sound from the computer speakers. I can hear the tape with headphones, but not through the computer. I can play cds on the computer and they work fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
I have this great old record player in my basement. It hasn't been used in years however and now every time I go to use it, regardless of the artist, it sounds like Alvin and the Chipmunks got drunk and got behind a microphone.
I would really like to be able to play some of the great albums we have laying around the house so if someone could explain the cause of this horrible sound and how I can fix it that would be great! Thanks!
hi everyone,
I'm a classical singer, and i do a lot of concerts that I want to record...basically I'm looking for a portable mp3 player/recorder that i can plug my microphone into and record straight in mp3 format.
i have a minidisc recorder at the moment, but I really need something that will record straight to mp3.
Can anyone recommend an mp3 player/recorder like this? My budget is about £100.
Thanks in advance!!
I use my MP3 to record the teacher in my classroom. I have a Creative Vision M. How do I take what I recorded by microphone, and have the end result burn it on CD? That way I can delete it out of my MP3 player and still have my notes.
I have one of those piece of crap Crosley record players that, for some reason, can play cassette tapes, CDs, and has a radio, but no stupid output on the player. So, the only speakers it uses are the ones in the player. I've tried recording using a microphone, but no matter how I mix it, or how much tweaking, it still sounds like crap. How should I go about recording a vinyl to MP3?
Is there any method that doesn't involve getting a new one?
-ability to use it like a usb flash drive
-ability to browse the internet with it
-play audio and video files
-camera and video recording
-has a microphone
-ability to video chat using skype
-fm radio
-ability to play lots of games on it
basically, I'm looking for something like an iphone 4 minus the phone subscription requirement, with usb flash drive capability, and fm radio (for when I'm not connected to the internet and don't want to listen to my music library)
I am trying to copy audio from cassette tapes to CD-Rom with my cassette player and my computer connected together from the headphone jack of the cassette player to the microphone or line-in jack of my computer's sound card.
Any advice would greatly be appreciated.
I own two record players (one has a speaker built in and the other doesn't). I'm trying to convert some of my records to digital format, but whenever I try record them using audacity, I always end up with an annoying background hum. How can I eliminate this without purchasing a USB-turntable? I'm told I have to "ground" the turntable. But what do I attach the ground wire to? The screws on the bottom of the laptop?
I suspect I am hooking it up wrong. The turntable has two audio jacks in the back (a red and a white one) i am using a y-shaped cable (one end is plugged directly into the laptop's microphone jack, the other two (RCA) ends are plugged into the turntable. Somebody once told me I needed a "pre-amp," but I don't know why I would need that. THe sound is at the right level, I just can't get rid of that annoying humming noise!
Thanks for your help everyone! A ion audio usb preamp did the trick.
i've tried the i-sound recorder but I dont know how to use it. I just want to record a song internally from my computer without the noise of traditionally recording the speakers with a microphone. Thanks
I can't find a software that will actually record audio being played from a media player on my computer. The recorder will only play from my webcam and I did try to set it as default windows, microphone or speakers but none of those work. I used camstudio which worked for me but now it don't.
I have an audio jack that can take a feed from the headphone jack to the microphone jack. If I can't do it this way what software, etc. do I need?
I have a microphone connected and operating on my terminal. I need to record a voice message.
How / what package am I to use in my Windows XP system to do this?
I'm a musician and would like to record myself using a portable mini-disc player. How can I make sure the chosen microphone is compatible with the player? Have you got any suggestions as to what would be a good make/model? I'd be happy to spend £50 to £100 on a second hand one on ebay.
Thanks in advance!
I have an old record player that has no outputs other than the plug. Is there anything I can hook up to connect it to my computer? Is there something that can splice the speaker cables and connect it to my microphone on my PC? Or is there some sort of special needle I can buy that has a microphone output? Somebody Help!!!
