I'm really interested in listening to the records, not just buying them and storing them away some where.
Is it better to buy used original records? For example Jimi Hendrix's Are You Experienced, Is it better to look around for a used original copy or go to Amazon.com and purchase a reissued new sealed copy?
When at a used record store how do you tell if a record is an original copy or not?
When at a used record store am I allowed to actually take the vinyl out of it's sleeve?
What does it mean if a record is warped?

I can't understand much, because there's part down saying that it needs new stuff, can i play 12 inch records on this?
What do you think of the player>?
And after how long do i have to change the needles?
I was at my friends house and he has a retro record player. Here's a picture: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51DTPAyyH6L._SL500_AA280_.jpg
We were playin around slowing the record and such, an allman brothers record, and he bumped my arm and i scratched (not literally) the record like dj's do. is it bad for the record or record player?
I checked on ebay and there doesn't seem to be a big selection there, or on amazon. I'd like to find an antique, but a reproduction would be good too for the reliablity. I don't want one with the cd player and tape deck built in, that's kind of tacky and cheap. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, but I checked ebay, i'm asking if anyone knows of a good place besides ebay.
I did the standard internet search, saw that site. I am in the U.S. Thanks for your help though.
Or can anyone recommend a good record player to buy on Amazon? Thanks!
anyone know where i can buy some old, antique, vintage record players/phonographs? i check amazon and ebay but a lot of them there are not original record players. they are more modernized record players but they are dressed up to look old but i want an actual record player from a long time ago... anyone know where i can buy these, that still work too??
im looking for one from the 1950s to 1970s ish...
It belonged to my Great Grandmother. It is a little boy on a Pedestal that spins. The pedestal is painted with a hounds-tooth design in black and white. The little boy is very plain and wearing a little brown cap.
She referred to it as "Little Butch". It looks like a character from a very old comic strip, but I can't remember the name of it. The work vaguely looks like the "Little LuLu" comic strip, but I can;t find any reference to a "Butch" or a picture that resembles what I have. The only reference I can find to anything related to "Butch" is a book on amazon.com called: "100 Years of American Comic Strips".
Does anyone know the name of the comic strip or any information about the music box itself?
