If you play a 33 at 78 it would be going more than twice as fast.  If you really have a 78rpm record player as opposed to an adjustable speed turn table you would be using a very poor quality needle and might damage your vinyl recording.  These real old school needles were made of steel where newer models are typically diamond.</description>
