(It could also be a headphone jack, and if the jack was 1/4&#34; you can get an adapter for the cable) The stereo mini cable would run from an 1/8th inch jack on the boom box to the input (line in, generally a blue connector) jack on your sound card. In that case, you wouldn't be using USB, you'd be using line in.
