old record player my dad has needs a new needle?
My dad has an old record player he wants to give me. Only problem is the needle needs replaced. It is a realistic Lab-3000 precision turntable. I wrote down the numbers and letters on the stylus and cartridge. The numbers and letters are:
Shure RSEB
Realistic r47eb
I can't find an exact replacement because it's too old at least I think. Is there any equivalent to this stylus and cartridge I can buy? Or anywhere I can get the exact stylus? I'm pretty sure only the needle needs replaced. Everything else is in perfect condition. Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated.
Try a Shure N75EDT.
You can use a Shure N75-ED type 2 as a replacement.

If you want to play old vinyls, i’d say buy a turntable at bestbuy, or amazon, or some kind of electronic retailing store.
Models, such as that one are hard to to find replacement parts for.
The price for a new turntable should cost a little over 80$ i believe.
You’d think the price of technology from 50 years ago would drastically decrease, but i guess Turntables are in for high demand.
You can find replacements for most cartridges at the link below. Your’s most likely is a magnetic cartridge.
