My record player setup is having problems, Help Please!!!?
I just got a record player, and it seems to work fine, I have it plugged into the phono inputs on this really old amp/reciever or whatever its called, and then I have a headphone output to my computer speakers. The records I am playing are stereo, but there the sound on the right speaker is so quiet I can pretty much not hear it. Is this a problem with my equipment? or is it just cause it's plugged into speakers throught the headphone jack.
Check your connection to your amp and make sure you haven’t accidently moved the balance on the amp. Check your fuses on the amp. If all that is ok it may be that you are using the headset connection on your computer. You may need to buy a usb addapter so that you can plug the turntable directly into the computer. It runs around $80 and comes with a program that cleans up all the pops and scatches and I have seen at BestBuy. Good Luck.
