My computer won’t read mini discs!?
I recently got some new software. It came on a mini disc. You know, a CD-ROM, just small. Well, my computer won't read it. The disc spins, I can hear it. But Windows says that nothing is in the drive. And, just so you know, I don't have a crappy computer. It's pretty new. It seems to me that the laser isn't reading the disc, but that doesn't make any sense. There's a space in the disc holder thing for a mini-disc. What's going on and how can I fix it?
For the record, the software is for my brand new (just got it not 4 hours ago) Sony Walkman MP3 player (The model is NWZ-E436F). I know I don't need this software to import my stuff onto it, but it's rather annoying. It's not just this disc either. I previously got some drivers for a USB data cable to import stuff to my LG phone (I forget the model) on a mini-disc. It didn't read it either. I thought it was a fluke, a bad disc. But this just proves to me that my computer has a problem with mini-discs.
I know this is long, but please help!
Are you placing the mini disc in the center of the CD Rom, where the second ring is? if its not right in the center it will be spinning and the PC wont be able to read it.
