looking for info. on silvertone console record player?
I just purchased a silver-tone console stereo/record player. not sure what year it is. but it's in beautiful shape except the turn table does not spin. any info would be greatly appreciated thanks jim w
Silvertone was the Sears brand for radios, phonographs, and early TV sets. If it’s a floor-mounted console, it could date anywhere from the 1930s to the 1960s. It has very little value among collectors because its bulk makes shipping it impractical. The turntable is driven by a rubber belt, which is a normal wear item. It’s not hard to fix by someone with experience.
If you can take some digital photos of it and e-mail them to me, I can tell you a lot more about it. E-mail: dtv-help [at] comcast.net.
I have a silvertone stereo console, it is missing one tube and the schematic that is stapled inside doesnt show it. That is the reason it is not working. any info would be helpfull, i can also send pics to anyone who can help me.
