I have a bunch of cassette tapes and LPs that I ripped... but for the most part, i searched online to download the material.. it saves lots of time, and most downloaded tracks are ripped from CD... I think that if you own a copy of an album and you have the right to make a copy for personal use, and you can prove you own that album, i do not think that it would be illegal for you to get that copy from file sharing, or torrents... why buy a device that will do this? you can do this with audacity which is a free software…

I think that if you own a copy of an album and you have the right to make a copy for personal use, and you can prove you own that album, i do not think that it would be illegal for you to get that copy from file sharing, or torrents…

The CD that is burned from the LP will have that played on a turntable sound to it. A new CD will be all "digitally remastered," etc. Up to you.
