If record players only play “15, 33, 45, & 78″ (33 is the average)-what players can be set to any speeds?
I'm looking for something like an "MP3 player" that can play any speeds on a song-I had a dream of hearing some Gn'R songs a touch slower & it sounded so awesome!-(just like an oldie band doing the original)
thanks-anyways 33 was the speed I listened to records back in the 70's & 80's as a kid.
Have you tried VLC Media player?
BTW, 33 1/3 RPM is not the "average". 33 1/3 RPM is the correct playback speed for records that were recorded at that speed, which were mostly 12 inch albums as they were from the early ’50’s to today. "Singles" of that era were recorded at 45 RPM. The first lacquer records were recorded at 78 RPM. 16 RPM was a specialty speed for records that were spoken words, not music..
