If I buy a stereo system to play my CDs, can I hook up ANY record player to it to play vinyl?
should I get a vintage record player or a new one? and how much will a solid record player run me?

The stereo system has to have the red and white AUX inputs to play a record player. As far as I know most record players use the AUX red and white jacks. You can get a decent record player for $100. Check online, I got one on Amazon that you can hook up to a computer to copy the records and make CDs or put them on an iPod or MP3 player.

The answer is yes…Even if your record player doesn't use aux red and white there will be quarter inch cables or some kind of conversion you can get from radio shack or walmart.
