Ideas for what to do with an old radio cabinet?
So this summer I cleaned out my basement and came across this old, antique radio cabinet that I think was my great-great grandmothers. It stands up but it has no back, and there isn't anything inside of it. I don't want to throw it out and I have a feeling since half of it is missing it wouldn't be of much value to sell. So I was wondering if any of you guys have ideas of how I can restore it in a fun way so that it looks more modern and not so antique-ish? It may sound strange a bit confusing, so I'm sorry for that...but I would just hate to throw it out! Give me your ideas...no matter what they are!! =)
Haha thats funny you mention the tank, because I actually had one that I thought of putting in there but its to big...and im not to sure how stable it is either! I'll have to check it out!
I fixed one up to look good then used a new modern radio and installed it inside.
how much weight can it hold? If it could hold a hundred pounds you could use it as a fish tank stand.
good ones are in demand for liquor cabinets and glass storage. i have seen them in flea markets up to 800 bucks. magazine rack, lamp table, computer or printer storage, cd holder, indoor plant stand, etc.
old furniture can have a LOT of $$$$ value…
…DON’T ruin it or get rid of it !!
even with a partial restoration…these things look FANTASTIC !!
