I would like to download podcasts to a portable player, what would be a good type of player for that purpose?
I dont need it to download music or watch videos - I would like to find a good quality product that would download a wide variety of common podcast files, and have a reasonable battery and recording capacity (say 10 hours plus). I dont want to go overboard and pay too much to get something with features I dont want.
The natural answer is an iPod; you don’t have to buy one new…they’re all over eBay. Some of the MP3 players made by iRiver would also work well for you and aren’t as expensive as iPods as they don’t have the "coolness factor". For the amount of content you’re talking about, you might not need anything with over 5GB storage…usually around $150. Good luck!
The Apple I-Pod will be excellant for that.
An Ipod because Podcasts are from Apple, i believe. & ipod batteries last long
