I have ordered a Michael Jackson Thriller 25 picture vinyl, is it playable in a record player?
Is a picture vinyl playable in a record player? or is it just for show? If it is playable, will playing it cause damage to the image printed on it?

You won’t damage the image. But in order to sandwich the picture between sides 1 and 2 very thing vinyl is used for the actual playing surface. So the audio quality will not be as good as proper vinyl, it will wear down faster, and pops and clicks will quickly accumulate.
Like “gold” records, they are not really meant to be played.
Yes, picture discs are darn well playable, and have been around as collectable vinyls since at least the early 80’s. I own a few and have played them fine. The reason you don’t see more of them is that they cost a lot more to press, and they don’t sound quite as good.
And no, the picture will stay fine as long as you don’t go play wild DJ with the record or play it on something from the 1950’s that tracks with all the force of a WWF member.
