I do not understand the pricing on eBay. Items such as antique books and radios that I know are valuable are?
are selling for less than the shipping and handeling. I know they are valued in the hundreds if not more. Can someone please explane that a radio over 70 years old sells for under thirty dollars?
If you know that they are more worth you should buy them and resell them on ebay and make some money of that. Take a look at this article http://www.moneyaside.com/sub/wr_ebay.php
Hey, look at it as a gift. You know the value, but the person selling it may not. The person selling an item that is worth a lot may not know or may not care. Sometimes people just want to get rid of something. Maybe a relative died and now they have to do something with a house full of stuff. Go ahead and buy it for the cheap price and sell it for more or keep it if it is something you really want.
Not everyone knows the value of what they are selling. Somebody who is cleaning out their parent’s garage may have no idea that there are antiques in there. Occasionally you hear stories of priceless works of art being sold in garage sales. ( Think antique roadshow). A lot of people on ebay sell just to make some money and many do not specialize in the area they are selling. If you are an expert then you should buy it and consider it a great bargain!
