		<description>The 'hockey puck' is probably for the 7&#34; (45rpm) records.  Dust and debris might cause the record in question to skip.  I have a modern turntable that you have to manually put the needle on the record.  The stylus might of just snapped out of place (as with most modern turntables), and you could fix it yourself (unless it appears cracked, then I'm not sure where to go...).</description>
