How do I use this 45 RPM spacer for my record player?
I have a GE record player and it came with a 45 spacer. Apparently it's supposed to just "slide on" but it's proving to not be so easy. I have included a picture of what the adapter looks like. Can someone please explain to me how to use it properly?

It’s made to hold a stack of 45s. Generally, it slides over the post, but needs to be aligned correctly to drop the records.Try turning it to align the metal part that moves with the corresponding part on the spindle.
I haven’t seen one of those in years.
