How do I connect my speakers to my record player?
These speakers have the red and black cables coming out of the back of them that go into those holes on stereo systems. How do I hook them up to my record player?
Sorry it is a turntable
Sorry it is a turntable and the wires on the speakers that I am talking about are not phono wires they are the ones that you have to strip the rubber off of to get the the metal wire on the inside.
I would say you must have an amplifier with phono inputs to connect it to your turntable with your speakers. A turntable also should not be plugged into a tape monitor input because the output voltage level of the cartridge picking up the music is lower than that of the output level of a tape player. You would only hear a low level garble. However, if all you have is a stereo with tape monitor inputs, places like Radio Shack usually have a millivoltage boosting "phono to tape monitor" transformer below $20 to match them up. Have done it before, works fine. Good luck, Magyver
