U need an XBOX adapter.... hook your adapter up through your VCR, then u can hook your DVD player through your 3 color prong hook ups to your VCR, Make sure the VCR is directly hooked to the TV...... then with one of the other output cable jacks behind your DVD player, hook just the red and white to your Stereo..... hook the VCR directly to the stereo (use an RCA jack to the tv and a 3 color prong hook up to the stereo) This should have everything hooked through your Stereo. U wil have to set your VCR to the channel your TV is connected to your cable or whatever to use it, so it is required your VCR to be on. Then you should be able to watch a DVD and just change the channe;l onyour vcr to that of the dvd player and u shoyld b able to record. This is how my system is set up. Hipoe it made some sense.

You cannot record the DVD to a VCR Tape unless you have a very old pre-1999 VCR machine.
The DVD sends a signal to prevent the VCR from making a recording.
Go to garage sales, or use stereo shop to buy an old VCR.
Then start copying.
