unfortunately you cant record because this is a player not a recorder. you need to purchase a dvd recorder to record shows from tv.

First, you can’t record on a PLAYER.

Second, if you do purchase a dvd recorder, do yourself a favor and get a reputable brand, NOT RCA Crap!
