How can I put my home videos(that are recorded on mini dvds) onto my computer?
Ok, I have a Sony Handycam that records on DVD-R and RWs. They are the smaller kind tho obvsiouly. My Handycam doenst have a USB connection so I cant do it through that. The only way I think is to play them throught the dvd player on my computer. But it won't let me burn the dvd on to my computer but i know i have a dvd burner. What can I do?
use nero vision to import dvd to your computer and when you have enough you can make a giant DVD with all the movies from all the mini-DVD’s
well, im not gunna go into detail about ur question, but for future referene, where u went wrong is u bought a dvd camcorder. have u ever heard of hard disk? Its basically a portable hard drive. U take video and pix in better than DVD quality, and the models hold HOURS of video, and then u USB them to ur pc, and do w\e with them, and then burn them onto a big dvd (roughly 2, 2 and a half hours of DVD quality). downgrading the quality when u record will give u A LOT MORE SPACE on a single DVD. and the difference is almost NOTHING. also, if i take video, and i dont like it for whatever reason, i just delete it, as you would a picture from a digital camera. its the best thing in the world, im serious. and i reccomend the JVC Everio G-Series Harddisk camcorder. the model of mine is a something something 37 something something. Sry, its not with me right now…. but just type in Everio Camcorder, or something along those lines. never mind, lemee find u a link bud. Definately look into it. U wont be dissapointed!
Assuming:
1. You can read (play) your minis in your PC then
2. Import FILES into your pc- nero start smart is nice to do this-
and then convert info to a VCD video - if necessary- then again
turn your VCD to DVD.
Other option is Nero RECODE. With this program you can even
convert mixed files (NTSC+PAL) into NTSC DVD.
Finally search for a camcorder’s function to FINALIZE small discs.
Other try to CLONE small disc with Clone CD or Clone DVD 2 or
any Nero
Just get a DVD ripper (like nero) and it will copy ur small DVDs to your computer (you can save it as different formats) And can edit it using MM or something more advanced.
