How can I get my record player to spin on it’s own?
I have Pioneer PL-1150 turntable. I have some records I want to play and the turntable itself won't turn. I can turn it on and put the needle on the track but I have to spin the record myself to hear anything. I'm getting a new turntable for my birthday (at least I hope) but I don't want to wait a month til I can play any of the records I have. Anyone know how to fix it? I'd greatly appreciate any input!
At this website there is a picture of what the turntable I have looks like if it will help the question get answered, http://cgi.ebay.com/PIONEER-PL-1150-TURNTABLE-RECORD-PLAYER-Org-BOX_W0QQitemZ150141692641QQihZ005QQcategoryZ48649QQcmdZViewItem.
It sounds like you have a broken drive belt..Unfortunitly to take it to a TV repair shop would probably cost more than its worth. You could try taking it apart yourself and getting a belt on ebay.. I would take it apart first and make sure thats the problem.. it could be the motor.
