		<description>It's so hard to troubleshoot something like that over the web.  There are so many variables.  But odds are, someone dumped it because it didn't work.  If it did, they would have sold it online for some money. (It's weird how all these old electronics still fetch some dough)

Just tinker with it and see if you can isolate the problem.  If there is a lot of static, or you can get the audio to sort of work, then maybe there are just some loose connections.

Like I said...hard to diagnose or give a suggestion without playing with the thing myself.
