Does anyone have a Technics record player?
I have a Technics record player model SL-BD20D and I am wanting to hear my records the only problem is the motor sounds funny. I put the belt in, but don't know if I did it right. Please respond so I can listen to my records! Thanks Jenn
This is the right way to put on the belt: take the rubber mat off the turntable, and pull the platter off of the spindle. Put the belt around the inner hub of the turntable platter. Through one of the openings on the top of the platter, pull the belt away from the inner hub and hold it there. Lower the platter back onto the spindle. Pull the belt out a little more and put it around the motor pulley, and between the two little prongs of the speed-shift fork if that model has one. Put the mat back on and you’re set. Make sure you have the correct belt; one that is too wide can make scraping sounds.
