Can you use a Sony Walkman CD player to record on laptop CD burner?
How do you connect a Sony portable CD player to your laptop so you can>play a CD on Walkman while it is connected to laptop>and use the laptop CD burner to "record" what is playing from the Walkman?
what the hell are you trying to do? it sounds like you want the songs on a cd on your computer… just put the cd in your computer and copy the music files off
You can connect your portable CD player to the microphone input or line-in on your laptop and use Audacity, which is free of charge, for example to record the audio signal. You will lose a lot of sound quality though. You can then burn the recorded music onto a CD with your CD burner and by using Infrarecorder for example, which is free of charge as well. But I wonder why you would want to go through so much trouble? It is much easier to simply put the CD into your CD burner and to use a CD ripper such as Exact Audio Copy (EAC), which is also free of charge, to copy all the audio files or the ones you selected from the CD to your laptop hard drive. Then you take out the CD and put in an empty CD and you write the tracks which you want to CD again using Infrarecorder for example. Then you do not need your portable CD player and you will not lose any audio quality.
