There is actually a product out there called the MicPort Pro. If all you need is to record mono, it's a great device with high quality sound. You'd just need an RCA to XLR adapter:

But if you don't need a high quality audio recording, then a cable from Radio Shack is all you need.

It's mic in, not line in. I recorded my whole cassette collection that way. (You'll probably need an attenuator if you're using mic in, rather than line in - the cassette output is usually line level.

Check your mixer (double-click on the speaker). Select Options/Properties/Recording. Make sure the mic input is selected. (The Playback section is what goes to the speaker.)

Audacity \Au*dac"i*ty\, n.
   1. Daring spirit, resolution, or confidence; venturesomeness.

[1913 Webster]

The freedom and audacity necessary in the commerce
            of men. --Tatler.

[1913 Webster]

   2. Reckless daring; presumptuous impudence; -- implying a
contempt of law or moral restraints.

Audacity perhaps, fidelity, probably not.
