Can I play or record an 8 cm DVD on a DVD player or DVD drive of a computer?
8 cm DVD disks are normally used by digital video cameras. Can I see the contents on a regular DVD player or computer DVD drive or even record into them from a regular DVD recorder or DVD writer?
no
My Handycam uses miniDVD’s and I have not had a problem. Playback of these DVDs couldn’t be simpler (depending upon the playback device used). After finalizing the disc in the camcorder, the disc can play back in most DVD players (SD), computers & Blu-ray Disc players.
Yes. Drives have had that feature since the early days of CD drives, that is why the "cup holder" has the recessed space in the drawer, to fit the small discs.
