Are there any type of audio/visual cables that will let me record video on computer to dvd player?
i have some video i uploaded from camera to computer, now i would like to record it onto a dvd using a dvd player because the computer isn't a dvd-r. i'm looking for cables with a red, white(audio), and yellow(visual) ends to hook into the dvd player, the other should be able to fit into the mic output on the computer.
Well - lets see if we can sort you out - you seem somewhat confused.
First I do not know of any computer which has a mic output - mic input, line out , line in - yes but mic out NO - in any case even if it did neither it or any of the other connections I have listed would be any good at all to you - they all conduct sound only - no video of any sort.
So the only other output option would be a video card in your computer with the red/white/yellow connectors on it - or even an s-video connector - but I guess you don’t have one of those.
So what are your workable options - you say your computer isn’t a DVD-R - are you saying your computer does not have a DVD burner (a DVD-R is a kind of DVD disc).
DVD burners are quite cheap now and very easy to fit into most home computers - I would strongly recommend that you investigate that option first - so that you can burn DVDs in your computer and then play them on your DVD player connected to your TV.
If an internal DVD recorder really is out of the question for you then the last option is to get an external DVD burner - little bit more expensive than an internal one - which connects to you computer via a USB lead.
The playback and recording cables are the same. Granted you have the cables, you need the computer to have output jacks to output the audio and video from it; plus, I doubt you can record anything on a DVD PLAYER.
