Adults What Do You Think About Me (im 15)?
Ok, so growning up when i was 3-7 my family always said how i was "wise beyond my years" and how i "knew things" or "knew" old song from the 70s with out even hearing them before. As i grew older i went to auditions for disney/nick i couldn't make it to the showcase because it cost 5,000 dollars. But the ady told me that from a scale to 1.0-4.0 i was a 3.9 on my singing...she said most ppl were a 2.5.
this was a boost of confedence. ALL my life i have lsitened to MJ, he is who inspired me to become a singer.
But...for some reason i am sooo atracted to everything from the 1970-1989. including shows,clothes,music
ive been wanting a RECORD PLAYER SOOOO BAD. but my mom says jokingly to me "you seriously should be like 44 years old right now...cus u shoulda been born back in the day" lol
but idk i am like OBSESSED with old things...idk why i had to be born so late.

hey u answered my question about the MJ thriller jacket. u sound a lot like me. i love that stuff. and i dont wish i was born back then but rather help encourage to bring all that vintage stuff back to today. my favorite music consists of a lot of 80’s. my clothing is somewhat also. i love that jacket. i want it for my sweet sixteen this year. forget disney hahaha. MJ will forever live on with me! most adults probably think its kinda weird atleast the ones i know how i like the vintage stuff so much. oh well. i guess i dont really care. as long as we are happy with ourselves not much else really matters! : D

No, there’s nothing wrong with it. It’s just what you’re interested in. People have different hobbies to others, that’s what makes us all different.
no, you should be into whatever you like. the latest trends are just going ot be old trends one day, the in trends are just what society of this time likes. so really, you just an old trend, and thats not uncommon. in my town, everyone is rock heads and love the 70s and 80s.
no theres nothing wrong with you…i actually wish i was born in the marvin gaye, temptaions era…but there are people like you lol look up the retro kidz online they all dress like people from the 80’sand dance like them and stuff like that i think you’d like them

I think it’s cool how somebody like you actually has there own personality and doesn’t go with the crowd, like most people do. I also like the old music too.

No there’s nothing bad about your obsession as long as it doesn’t consume other aspects of your life.
Also, no it isn’t bad that you don’t like Disney and pop magazines with all the latest trends. I would say that’s great! You have found something that *you* really like, and you like it because of who you are, not because you feel the need follow the latest trends, or because all your friends wear or watch a certain something. That’s awesome in my opinion. I think a lot of people spend there entire lives without finding things the enjoy like that and just continue to follow the flock (myself included to an extent).
You would get along great with my 14 year old nephew. Ever since he was little he has loved (LOVED!) music, and he is totally into music from the 60s-80s.
