I bought a brand new record and it sometimes skips (in the same places) on a vintage record player.
On a new player this would not occur right?

Recently I've started buying vinyl and I plan to buy a turntable/ record player in order to play them. I was going to buy a portable Crosley but I read that the needles were awful and that they ruined records very quickly. I'm looking for suggestions: A good record player/ turntable that wouldn't damage records (at least not so quickly) but wasn't so expensive either (preferably under 200 dollars)
thank you.
something unnoticable, that i can put into a pocket and still record without losing too much voice quality. I could use my mp3 player, but its way too complicated, have to go to menu, search for record, press start ... I need something simplier that I can just press a button to start recording.
please give me either product names or a link where I can buy it from
Im trying to trick someone evil to confess.
looking to get my first record player and have got it down to 2 choices.
eitha a sony PS-11 or
Pioneer PL-112D
help please?
and if it helps i think i might get a Pioneer SX -535 vintage amp to go with it
I'm in college so I don't live with her, but my mother has leukemia and only has about a year or so to live. For 5 years my mother has allowed her drug addict brother to live in our house. He doesn't have a job. He has gone to rehab and has never, since he was 12, stayed sober for more than 2 months. He is now almost 50. He's a crack/cocaine addict and heroine addict. He has stolen my mothers car (4x) and crashed it and it is still not fixed even though it happened two months ago. Also, while we were on vacation to California, he stole my mothers credit card and number and withdrew money as well as steal and sell her wine and antique radio. When we got home, the house was a mess. We also found out that he was having an affair with our neighbor.
He also has loads of guns in our home (they are registered) and it worries me because I think he will hurt my mother with them (I had a dream he killed her).
She said she would change the locks but I know that he would break in and kill her.
I'm so scared for her. Is there any way we could have him sent to jail or have him locked up? I don't want him to hurt anybody.
Please help me.
I have a bunch of my parents' vinyl sitting around in the basement. I just want to listen to it (in its crap quality) but I've no idea what kind of instrument I'm supposed to use for that.
Turntables for DJs (?) don't seem to fit quite what I need as if it can play the record, I'm satisfied.
but i'd rather avoid the whole connecting to amps, replacing cartridges, belts, etc.
Are there any simple, easy to use record players that does the job without any complicated specs?
Am i asking for something impossible here?
And if I don't want to be using my computer? What if I just want to connect it to a stereo system?
Now when I put on 45s it goes way to fast, Ha I just figured it out because Olivia Newton John was sounding awfully high pitched even for herself lol. Yes the speed is on 45 by the way, it just seems to be going to fast. The player is fairly new, I bought it brand new two years ago. I haven't tried playing any of the other ones just 45s.
There are many online tamil movie songs sites. When they are played from their servers there is no provision to record the same. Please tell me how can i record those into my syste. I am having widows xp home edition with registered winows software. 512mb 80 gb hdd. 3.0 ghz. windows media player, real player, winamp.
we bought a vcr dvd combo player from sony a while ago, and it was able to record for a while but now the problem is that i cant tune the vcr to record channel three which is the only channel i can use to record shows
it goes from channel 2 to 4 then 5,6,8 and so on to 12
how do i fix it? and also, it can still play vcr tapes just to let you kno
Antique turntable and tube style electric radio
I'm a 29 year old stay at home wife and mother to a 1 year old son. I love my job. However there are many many aspects of the 1950's I wish I could go back in time and live through. Simple times, less complication, polite, responsible children with good wholesome upbringing, home made meals, less need for material goods, I do all the home work while my husband goes to work to support us.
I don't want my son's life to complicated by keeping up with the Joneses by needing ipods, portable gaming, tv, dvd's 3d TV, designer labels and the need for a cell phone when he's 7 or 8! People tell me my ideas are completely unrealistic and if I try to do this, I'll have a lifetime of battles ahead of me. I want my son to appreciate where our things today came from including record players, encyclopedias in book form that he has to open and read instead of click and copy/paste, typewriters instead of computers. I want him to be polite, well spoken and responsible. I don't want him to act like a jerk at 22 because people think he's "still a kid". Does anyone think what I'm saying is realistic today or am I just dreaming?
A few hours ago i asked how religious people cant accept evolution despite massive evidence. this guy than responded with this post.
One of the simplest and best proofs that evolution is a joke, is the FACT that there is NO recorded history prior to 4,000 B.C. The world's history is CLEARY defined by SIX world powers since time began: Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome. Since Rome's fall in 476 A.D., there have been no world-powers (many super-powers; but, no world-powers). At the time of Moses, Egypt ruled the world. The Israelites were used as slave labor by Pharaoh to build the pyramids. Before Egypt, there is absolutely nothing recorded in history about a world-power. It is NO coincidence that Revelation 17:10 speaks of these world-powers, "...five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space." At the writing of Revelation, Rome was still a world-power. The Apostle John, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, tells us that Rome is the 6th world-power, and there is one more to come. The 7th world-power will be the beast system, the kingdom of the antichrist. This diabolical New World Order is quickly forming now (i.e., a universal religious view, global centralized government, a one-world economic system, a cashless society, etc.).Do you think it's a mere coincidence that the Word of God is so concise on world history? The Bible records the beginning of mankind at about 4,000 B.C., and secular history is eerily silent before 4,000 B.C. for those who claim to believe in evolution. If I were an evolutionist, I would be extremely disturbed by this FACT. Prove me wrong! I dare you. I triple-dog dare you to show me any recorded civilization before 4,000 B.C. And I don't mean some pottery jug or item that you claim is 14,000 years old--Show me any evidence of civilization prior to 4,000 B.C. You cannot. In fact, it is difficult to find much recorded history before 2,500 B.C., because the flood of Noah's day destroyed most of it. How can evolutionists be so naive and foolish as to totally ignore this incredibly obvious fact? There is NO recorded history prior to 4,000 B.C.--no writings, no carved stones, no battles, no wars, no countries, no nothing! It's as if mankind just suddenly began (which is exactly what the Bible teaches happened). God created man out of the dirt, the elements, of the earth.
There were no humans before approximately 4,000 B.C. Hard to imagine? Why should it be? There is no history to indicate that humans existed prior to 4,000 B.C. This fact is irrefutable. Oh sure, some stubborn evolutionists are going to start talking about carbon-dating, archeological findings, etc. BUT, the bottom line is that the history of mankind should be traceable far beyond 4,000 B.C., going back million of years IF evolution were true. IF, as evolutionists claim, the earth is billions of years old, and mankind has evolved from a lower and simpler form of life, then why has mankind gone from writing upon stones to laser printers in just the past 3,500 years? When God gave Moses the Ten Commandments, they were written upon stone. It is abundantly clear that the Egyptians carved messages into stone (hieroglyphics). So why is it that mankind has only discovered better inventions in the past few thousand years? If mankind had evolved, as evolutionists claim, then why didn't man discover ink a million years ago? Think about it. This is an astonishing thought--There were NO planes, cars, computers, refrigerators, electricity, lights, gas, powered-equipment, telephones, recording devices, CD players, MP3 players, electric razors, televisions, record players, movie cameras, or a million other modern technological inventions--just a mere 170 years ago. Civilization has advanced from utter primitiveness to incredible mind-boggling achievements in just a little over 100 years. So why didn't mankind discover any of this stuff 100,000,000 years ago, or 100,000 years ago for that matter?Look at the ignorance of doctors over the past few centuries. Sanitary practices, such as washing hands, were laughed at by doctors, while thousands of patients continued to die. It was unimaginable to doctors back then, that washing one's hands somehow was related to a patient's health in the operating room. Can you believe that? Evolutionists today are just as ignorant of the truth of God's Word, and of common sense itself. It's hard to imagine that millions of people were dying from a simple lack of ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) just a couple hundred years ago. If evolution is true, then it took man billions of years to learn all these kindergarten lessons.
i have a home dvd burner just one slot i have it hooked up to anpother dvd player and my tv, when i try to record a dvd or a movie off of hbo or stars or whatever it says i cant due to copy right. how can i get pass this and record movies?
How do I use Windows Media Player, Read Audio, or WimAMP to record only the sound part of a video on youtube.com? If there is any other way to do it, let me know that.

Thanks
I own an old record player, a Technics DC Servo Automatic Turntable System SL-BD24. The catridge in it is an EPC-P33 but the needle is missing from it. Can I replace it with any other similar cartridge or does it have to be the same one? because the EPC-P33 is hard to find and if i could just use another one that would help alot.
So I recently purchased a used Led Zeppelin I vinyl record. I tested it out on the player and Side 1 sounded awful. It sounded sad, like the guitar just didn't sound good and it was like it was being pulled down. Does that make sense? Robert Plant's voice was dropping. Just didn't sound good. I can't really describe what it sounds like, but it doesn't sound good. When I flip it over to Side 2 it sounds absolutely perfect. There are no visible scratches on either side. I have a Numark portable PT-01 record player.
Could dust be causing it to sound so bad on Side 1? If not, what is? There are no scratches at all. What advice do you have?
I have an old fisher turntable/ cassete player, im guessing from the late 70's, and i dont know how to connect it to speakers, its only outputs are a speaker R and L and and auxilery R and L i have a reciever with a phono input and a pair of speakers that use speaker wire, can anyone tell me how to hook this thing up? 10 points to the best answer
it plays but the sound is very low. Its set up through a philips home entertainment center. How can i get the to play louder?
Something simple, easy to use. Maybe noise reduction & scratch removal. I have a PC with Windows7. I tried Xi tel but it would not download correctly during installation.
I am starting to feel a little frustrated. I have downloaded every application possible I feel and things still aren't working after wasting 3 DVDs. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong???
I have a downloaded movie. I was told I need to use Toaster to burn this to a DVD. Here are my toaster steps:
I put the Blank DVD-RW 4.7 GB with 2hrs in and drag the downloaded movie to its destination. I don't have a menu and I do automatic play when inserted. Then I hit the big red record button. It took like 45 mins to download this process another 20 to finish it. I take it out and put it in my DVD player at home and it doesn't work. What am I doing wrong? I have played burnt DVDs in this DVD player before.
Second problem:
I was trying to make a copy of a DVD. I was told I needed Handbrake for this. I have downloaded handbrake this still is working. Can someone please help me out??
Please if you're able give me step by step instructions on how to get this stuff working because I feel like I have tried everything and I don't want to keep wasting these DVDs.
Thanks in advance!
I have the video two different ways. I have it as an AVI and MGP. What do I use to convert it?? Once I have that program what are the steps I need to do?
Do I need to save it as something different? I have a program that will let me save it as a AVI file, but i'm not familiar with that. Is there a free downloadable software out there that I can use? I have burned music from media player lots of time, but never a dvd. Thanks!
