I want to record the themes from TV shows on DVD or parts of movie soundtracks, just capture a small part of the audio or record it as it plays, so I can transfer it to my MP3 player. Previously suggested programs are all video converters that mention nothing about just recording audio w/o video. The simpler the program the better, as well.
All I want to do is, while a video is playing on my computer, record a small part of the audio as a single sound file.

All in the question. I have a crosley vintage record player, it is vintage but plays perfect. So it plays 78, 45, 33 1/3 RPM records. So does that mean I can play LP records on it?

Been buying some records here and there, some new and used ones but I don't have an actual player for them- I know, should have thought of that BEFORE buying the vinyls lol.

Any idea of a good brand or model? I'd like to find one that I can get replacement parts for if need be and naturally that I could use a modern sound system with.

I've had for about a year and I am trying to remove the songs that were on it and transfer them to my Playstation Portable (PSP). I first turned it on and listened to a couple songs to make sure it worked properly (which it did). Then I connected it to a usb port in the front of my computer and I tryed to search it for the songs I was just listening to. All that was displayed was AUDIBLE, CONFIG, RECORD, SYS_CONF.DNC, WMPInfo, and CONFIG.TCC. Since the search didn't show the results i was looking for, I decided to search it manually, but I could only find the same files and folders that were in the search. I then unpluged the mp3 player to see if the songs were still there and played properly (which they were and did) because before my computer automatically formated my mp3 player. I tryed to find the songs through Windows media player since thats how I originally put them on, there were no songs but half the memory was filled.

I have a Technics SL-210 and an SL-1600M2K that both need new cartridges. I don't know what I'm doing, and would like either a posted product or a link to someone that can help me out. I plan on using these record players for basic DJ functions such as mixing and beatmatching, but I don't plan to do scratching (yet), and cheaper would be better (extremely tight on cash, I know DJing takes a lot of money but I'm trying to spend money on records). I have a DVD-Recorder/VCR combo machine. When I record The disc will only play in the DVD/VCR machine that I used to record it. It won't play on any other DVD player, computer, etc.

I recently made a DVD of our daughter for my husband who is overseas. he got it in his care package but it will not play on his laptop. It is a DVD+R and it was recorded from our video camera to a dvd burner. The disk will play fine on the dvd player attached to the tv but will not play on the laptop or the portable dvd player. the portable dvd player is a GPX. Please help. I am trying to start a minecraft 'Lets play' series on my mac. The software i plan to use for this is QuickTime Player. And I'm wondering it can also record sound for a mic.

I'm trying to download a video from the internet to my real player so I can record it on a disc.

The video is about 45 minutes long. It's been processing for over an hour.

Is there something wrong... or should I wait it out? If so, how long should I wait?

I recently got a record player and right as I was using it for the first time the needle broke. I checked the number and its a AT125LC stylus. I've been looking around but cant seem to find one anywhere. Does anyone know where I can get one, or at least another needle that would work?

So i found this Zenith Radio, tan in color and has dates printed on the bottom ranging from 1940-1950. I have done extensive research on it and have yet to find a single picture of it online.
