I want to buy a (digital?) music player, but I'm not sure what to go with. I'd just like a few suggestions on which player I should pick. Here are the things I want included in the player:

1. Most Important-PLAYS .WMA files and protected files--what I mean is, I'd be able to put the songs from my Windows Media Player library on the device and they'd play and work properly.

2. Has a good memory--fits (at absolute least) 5 hours of songs WITHOUT changing their format from .wma. That means no mp3.

3. Can access radio stations--Digital, good quality FM stations with button navigation (you press a button to change station, not spin a wheel) and at least 10 station presets.

4. The following is optional, but it'd be good if the player could display cover art of the songs, have a backlit screen, and a good battery life (1 or more hours). Good transfer speed, and preferably the ability to record sound. Also, it'd be nice if it recorded radio too.

5. Costs anywhere from -0
as you can see, that isn't much...oh, and one more thing: please don't suggest any apple products (i-pods or other) i have a personal grudge with the apple company and don't want to have to do anything with them. thank you for answering...best suggester gets 10 points!

I don't understand why Mike Dunleavy plays Correy off the bench. Obviously, Correy showed he was capable of leading the clippers with a 37-45 record two years ago. Now, after Correy's injury, SHOULDN't he start? i don't get that. Sure he commits plenty of TO's, but he draws fouls and heads to the FT line. Ross may be a better defensive player, but his overall play lacks in comparative aspect to Maggette. Shaun Livingston is supposely going to be one of the better guards out there. However, all i see is TO's, inexperience with critical moments of the game, and basically no offensive/ defensive presence at all. I give him kudos for having a good eye for the players under the rim, but assists don't make up for area for an overall player. Sam Cassell dishes out more assists, more points, rebounds, and steals in the fewer time he is alloted. THUS, GET RID OF ALL THE Sh*tty players, BRING CORREY BACK INTO THE LINE UP. I DON'T KNOW WHY HE COMES OFF THE BENCH. THE CLIPPERS'll BE SO MUCH BETTER

I recorded a home video onto a DVD disc using a DVD video recorder. The DVD plays choppy in a portable DVD player and in my computer. It only plays smoothly in two DVD players, one including the one I used to record it with. So what's the problem?
Oh, and it won't play at all in another one, It says "NO DISC."

I just got a a dual 1214 record player and well i dont have the manual. It came with a 6 LP stacking spindle that is suppose to allow 6 lps to be played in a row. However i dont know how to set it up to do this. here is a link to a pic of it that shows the spindle as well.

record players were before my time. So i dont know much about them. I can get it to play one record without the stacking spindle
I think there is more to it then just sticking the 6 records on it pressing play. The record player plays one and moves the arm back to the original position and then shuts off.

These are hard to find, On line, on amazon or whatever place that sells them, what is an actual DVD player that plays DVDs but records them also, (like copies them to a blank disk)

First of all, I'm not a total video junkie, but I have literally 100s of full length movies that I haven't watched yet. I also don't have like millions of songs, I have approximately 250 songs I actually listen to. I want an mp4 player that will last. I don't want a huge screen, but big enough to watch movies on. I don't mean like sit down and watch a two hour full length movie. I mean like watch a 30-45 minute segment here and there, or maybe watch some various short-length cartoon films. I want a good compromise of a large ENOUGH screen (2.5" is a-okay) and a small/compact size. However, battery life IS important as well, so a 2.4/2.5 inch screen is fine if I can have like 7 hours of videos or whatever on it.
I will be mostly listening to music and watching short videos, maybe looking at a few pictures, not really important to me. I don't care about music protection- all my music is just plain ol' mp3. Fm radio is nice. Idc about voice recording.
Any opinions on meizu mini-player?
My thought about meizu are that it is a great all-around player, and I don't mind the navigation issues some ppl report-I'm not going to be fiddling TOO much with it, and if I do, i can take my time.

If I do get it, it WILL be the 2 gb version. I'm not paying 100 bucks for 2gb extra memory.

my main problem with it is the lack of an sd card slot! I'm going to be traveling to russia, and I'm not really going to have much access to any computers (I have an ac adapter tho), so I NEED to have all my stuff already put on SD cards.

So basically, is there ANOTHER player with similar capabilities that DOES support an sd card slot?

Finally- I'm hesitant to pay a WHOLE lot on the player, but if there is one that REALLY sticks out for 90-100 bucks, please post it.

I know this is more of a rant than a question and I know the community guidelines is not to rant but I want to hear everyone's opinion on what they encountered on these pathetic regualtions.

I was staggered when I heard on the radio that school children had to wear goggles for BLU TACK!
And there's a lot more than that!
1. Children banned from running around in the playround due to accidents
2. You cannot put up a poster without a member of staff
3. Can't use the foam spray in case you would "slip" and be badly "injured"
4.You can't try out earrings because of a stupid H&S risk
5. School trips have been cancelled for precaution issues.
6.You have to wear a helmet to skateboard, go on your scooter
7. You cannot go near expeditions or any sort of display of art up close because you could "knock it over"
8.Can't buy antiques unless you inform the staff you are intending to purchase it.
9. Children can't bounce on big trampolines because the springs could break and they could fall through (which is VERY unlikely to happen)
10. You have to have stepladder "training" before becoming a proffessional worker like a window cleaner.

The list goes on. And also which angered me the most is that I registered for a job at the Animal Welfare Trust and they couldn't take me on because of the three idiotic words, which I'm not going to mention. So that means I can't register until next year!

I would like to host conference calls with at least 500 callers. I would like to broadcast this audio live on the internet and also stream it live to stereo players so those who don't call into the conference can still listen to the conference call live from the stereo player and also online at the same time.

I found some conference call with web management, but they only have a record then playback conference call and not a live broadcast which I want. Plus, how do I stream the live broadcast to stereo players? Which stereo players should I purchase to make it work so I can give it to listeners to tune into my live broadcast?

ok i have a project and no im not asking you to help me and tell me what to do but i am not very creative and we were given a book to read a year down yonder and we had to find 10 items that describe the book(so far only have gotten 9). We have to be creative and make it 3 dimmensional in a way. The items are a pumpkin,pecan,snake,cat,radio-transmittor,knife-engraved,tornado,train,bullet. If anyone has read the book and has any other suggestions for topics it would be apprecitated. These are going in a scrapbook i have to make. The pages i am trying to make old /antiqued and any ideas on that??? Is there a way to make a page out of like different 1930's fabric if so how. My boyfriend bought me a turntable so i can play my records. I'm sort of a n00b at this..but what does size selection mean? I tried on both 17 and 30 but didn't notice any difference. This doesn't have anything to do with the 33.5 and 45 RPM does it? Thanks in advance.
Ohh. that makes sense. I always knew that 33.5rpm's are 12 inches and 45's are 7 inches, but it didnt occur to me the sizes are in cm...12 in = 30 cm, and 7in=17cm. Thanks a bunch!

I love my vinyl collection but I cannot figure out how to get full sound out of my old school record player on my modern set up. It has the red & white cords coming out of it, along with a third wire that I used to hook up to my antenna "screw" on my old receiver. I can hook it all up and get a whisper of sound from the speakers but no more than that. HELP! Do I have to buy a new turntable???

I want to re-decorate my room, and I really like the idea for a 1920's themed or travel idea. Combining the two would be awesome. I was sort of picturing Indiana Jones-ish. I was thinking about having vintage maps on the walls, old suitcases, and an old record player, but that's about all the ideas I currently have. I was shopping the other day looking for antiques at my local goodwill and when I got close to the right side of the store I heard a old song playing, out of nowhere I heard something like "springtime, celebrate Hilter" blah blah, something like that. I was shocked and I thought there's no way in hell I really heard that so I started listening harder and then I heard it clear as day say "don't be silly, be a smarty and join the Nazi party". I was completely floored that it was playing on the radio, what shit is that. What if my daughter heard that? I looked around and there were other people around and they didn't seem to notice, but I was completely disgusted. How can the radio stations get away with playing that nasty garbage over the air and poluting our kids minds?

I want to reduce the poping and clicking noise from the CDs after conversion. I am using a record player to cassette tape to computer configuration. I have no idea how to hook it all up but I am going to learn.
