I saw this record player at a record store in the loop the other day and I really want to save up for it. Always wanted one. But I'm clueless as to what I need to do to make it work. Do I need speakers? A receiver? (I'd prefer to minimize cost). Sorry I can't help being an idiot it's my generation's fault.

Ok heres my poem.

Title: Clock

The Clock stands like a general
Watching me through its hard frozen face.
I return its look in hatred!
Its cold, darkened, woven wood looked as if nails had torn through its hollow body.

The texture twisting and turning as if hell itself were a whirl pool.
Its wooden heart ticked,like a bomb as if it were dying through every minute
While its firm numb hands stretched to the twelfth hour.

I saw its rotten, cold wrinkled skin follows up to its cover of glass,where its hard antique face is disgustingly preserved. It stands there still,watching me with its stiff concentrated eyes, I stare back with frustration, The demon is silent , but its eyes are awake watching and waiting for death to silence its ticking, as it strucks twelve...

Its waits in a corner, of a dull lifeless room, Light explores with nothing to find but shadows linked to everything it see's. Dust travels in particles that only the untrained human eye can find.

The chimes begin, Echoing throughout the house,DONG!
I freeze as it shakes my body through its violent scream! DONG!
it repeats itself, like a record player scratched, as it played its final 10 more chimes. Nothing moved, nothing was heard, only the chime mellowing away back to nothing but a seed of silence...

ok me and my friends found an adbandned home where we live and went in there is some kool stuff in there too like a tv and a old radio like an antique and then a bunch of garbe and rats lol it has been adbandoned for atleast 5 years and my question is it illegal to go in the house and take the tv and radio and stuff there hasnt been anyone in there in 5 years and we dont think they have any plan on comming back so could we take the stuff? and if we did and its illegal whats the worst that could happen we are both 18 and want to make sure before we do it

A while back I asked if the RIAA would have issues with selling an mp3 player on ebay loaded with music. Most people came back saying the RIAA very much would have a problem with that. However I still don't get it. How come it's ok to sell used CD's, DVD's, VHS tapes, records, etc? There is a legal market for all of these items. How come I can't resell my mp3 collection??? Isn't an mp3 just another form of media?

i have a 70's-80-'s turntable and i wnat to hook it up to make sound come out of it. ive seen others hooked up but i dont know what they use. from what ive seen the turntable sits on a larger box, im assuming this is a reciever. if it isnt some correct me. then from the reciever the speakers are plugged into that. right?

I was just wondering because I have a lot of old lamps/radios/etc. from long ago, and was wondering if I can just plug in an old electric device from the earlier half of the 20th century in without it exploding or electrocuting me... Like say for example I have a lamp from like the 30's(?), was the voltage in American homes always the same? or will it be overloaded? I ask because one time I was cleaning an old crystal lamp thing, and when I tried to test it out sparks flew out of the switch on the cord x_x;;;

But I'm not sure if it was incompatible with the new millennium, there was something wrong with the switch itself, or the bulb was an incorrect wattage, this thing has been in my family for generations, and has no real markings for me to know (and I'm NO electrician!)

8 cm DVD disks are normally used by digital video cameras. Can I see the contents on a regular DVD player or computer DVD drive or even record into them from a regular DVD recorder or DVD writer?

My Home theater system, Philips make claims, it can play MPEG4 files (Simple Profile, Advanced Simple Profile) as well as DivX discs ( 3.11, 4.x, 5.x). However when I copy these files to CD the player does not recognize any file. When I use any of the recorders like Nero or Roxi they try to convert the mp4 files into avi format which makes the size unwieldy and it is actually a conventional VCD. How to record the mp4 or DivX files on cd which the player can recognize?

Where can I buy an alarm clock , that plays music, has volume controls yet looks "pretty" on an bedside table and/or like an antique. We have one of those old ugly radio alarm clocks that cost .00 at target and I really want to get rid of it. I've checked ballard designs,home decorators and lillian vernon. I havent foud anything yet.

I have dish network tv. I have my tv and the DVD Player/Recorder and satellite all hooked up. I pushed record to see if it would tape Hannah Montana for my little girl. After the show I stopped it and I finalized it. I took the cd out and put it in my computer. It shows no disc in drive. I used the Maxell DVD -R 4.7 GB and set it up for 3 hours just playing around. It won't play on my computer. I was hoping to record movies and then after I get used to it hook it up with my vcr and put all my VHS movies onto cd. I've heard reviews about cyberhome not being good, but it was new and only cost 53.00 but with no instructions. After I finalized it and it wouldn't play on computer, I put it back into the recorder and it played on it. What do I do. I am a single parent and don't want to pay a lot of money for this. I also was hoping to quickly tape some movies for my classroom off of the science channel.
