I have an old Sears Silvertone tube AM radio, and it has Bakelite sides.
I'm trying to figure out approximately when it was made.
Kinda antique looking, I'm thinking it might be 1950's, but I'm not sure. It would be cool if it were older, because it's in really good condition. No wood on it at all.
Films- Elvis Presley with the Jordanaires. Has a picture of the old RCA logo on it. A dog and a old record player-says RCA Victor on logo.
PLEASE HELP ME with a vintage Kenwood receiver (KA-72B w/o manual).
I'm trying to help my neighbor with their stereo questions. The
final intention is to copy their collection of vintage cassette
tapes to their new CD(s) with the new Pioneer recorder that
was purchased.
The cassette tapes play fine through the Kenwood receiver
and it appears that the Pioneer recorder is working as well.
The Pioneer CD recorder is now connected to input "A" and
the cassette player is connected to input "B".
Anyone have advice on how to operate the Kenwood receiver
to enable the cassette source (input B) to record on the CD
recorder (input A) ??
GREATLY APPRECIATE assistance in the operation of this
hardware to enable this dubbing operation to proceed.
With harmony.

i heard about it on the radio but missed the details. sounds like a neat event.
Using drugs to enhance your performace is the same as cheating in school to get better grades.
Must be under 0 and have out of box recording capable. If it records some other way must still be under 0. Nice if it has a screen over 2 by 2 inches(widescreen is nice). Other features like fm radio and picture view and voice record nice too. Please help?
Or maybe even someone who inspired you to do something...
Who is it and why/what do they inspire you to do?
BQ - What's your favourite Turntablism album that isn't by DJ Babu/World Famous Beat Junkies or Q-Bert/Invisibl Skratch Piklz?
Or is it bad for the record player, because I find it rather funny-sounding when it's sped up like that. It sounds like chipmunks
well I never noticed this...
from the description of each I dont see any difference...
is the difference in locating laser beam?...
well, if there's a difference please let me know. they're both, I think, are the same. or one is better for storing data and the other is better to play movies? I doubt that but Im still not sure. so please let me know whats the difference and which type is better for what purpose if they differ somehow
thanks

The problem is, I accidentally clicked the "record" button on the player while my newly bought music CD (from my favorite band) was still inside. Now, I'm worried that something bad has happened to my music CD. Is it possible that something has been written on the CD when I clicked "record"? How will I know?
Can you record stuff on Macromedia Shockwave player (using a nonscreenrecording program)? Is it even allowed?
In his hometown? What a jerk.
I'm not a Barry Bonds supporter but even he could see past his thick head that tonight would have made for a great moment for him to celebrate his "achievement" with the fans who have supported him.
This isn't about the Home Run Derby. This is about a baseball player breaking the most famous record and receiving adulation for it.
But, if Barry wants to be a jerk about it I'm not surprised.
He's wasting a golden opportunity.
Does anybody know where i can buy a vintage vinyl record player?
An average price as well?
I've already checked ebay.
I want to play Vinyl in my study but I would like to avoid having to buy an amplifer and speakers. Is there a way of just hooking a decent turntable up to my pc and using the PC speaker (They are decent speakers)

I've been helping my 70 year old Father (electrical engineer) clean up his house. He has a working TRS-80, with all sorts of documentation. Is there any market for this antique?
I see some going on ebay, but i was wondering if there was a better forum for selling this stuff...
1. Who was the accordian player on "Lawrence Welk."?
2. Who yelled out in a movie, "STELLAAAAAAA."?
3. Who played the sax in The Dave Clark 5."?
4. Besides Michael Landon, what other member of the "Little House" cast did some of the directing on the show?
5. What group recorded, "Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress."?
6. What vintage tv show did Clint Walker appear on?
7. "Are we having fun, yet" was first said by what actress in what movie?
8. What member of the cast of "Gunsmoke" was once in a singing group?
Guessing this would be an older players record when the parks were bigger.
Can I bring a portable media player with mp3's, recorded TV into another country and make it through customs?
I have a creative Zen Vision W portable media player, it has all of my music, recorded TV, home movies, pictures and other media Ect.
I am traveling to New Zealand later this year, and I am worried about going through customs with a device like this, is there any cause for concern? has anyone else gone through customs with a device like this? what about coming back to America?
Thanks in advance
On the radio instead of downloading it to the internet. How do I do that, does anyone knows about car stereos?
Please let me know what I can do?
I just thought about him out of the blue for the first time in several years after remember ing those cool looking KLOL bumper stickers of the antique radio with feet looking like it was strolling along and the bold KLOL typeface in green!
I looked on the net about DJ Crash to no avail, but did learn that the former rock 101 fm KLOL now spins a whole different genre of music since 2004, pretty much killing off the old KLOL format.
I have not lived in the area for years, but do remember the very distinctive DJ Crash, a.k.a. "Crash in your dash".
I heard rumors about his wild lifestyle befitting a 70's era DJ, and then I seem to recall him getting canned over something related to excess living, and then he showed back up on the air for awhile circa 1986 or so, after that I lost track.
Anyone know what became of the legendary Crash of KLOL fame?
AS for the first guy who responded and claims that Crash is no longer with us, I have no proof and my gut feeling on that answer is he is either just being sarcastic or just spamming for a website. I'd like a link to a story if it is true...but I kinda doubt it as I would have found something myself.
i have some video i uploaded from camera to computer, now i would like to record it onto a dvd using a dvd player because the computer isn't a dvd-r. i'm looking for cables with a red, white(audio), and yellow(visual) ends to hook into the dvd player, the other should be able to fit into the mic output on the computer.
