I have an adapter to convert the output of the cassette player to 3.5 mm to plug in to my mic port. But when I try to record with audacity it doesn't see anything there to record. Is my mic port not working as a line in?

Vintage is just so much better. Who sells vintage record players in Los Angeles?

DVD Recorder: Cost 6
My VCR is shot, so I need a DVD recorder so I can record my soaps during the day because I don't have time during the day. I work two jobs, so their are many times when I need to record a couple of days at a time, so I can watch them all at once on my day off.

Cell Phone: Cost 0
My current cell phone is shot and only stays charged for 10 min even if its fully charged. I need this so my mom and dad can call me when I go out or I plan to stay longer at work. I use my cell phone alot.

Wireless Keyboard and Laser Mouse: Cost
I need a new keyboard and mouse pretty bad.

Creative Labs 30-60 Gig MP3 Player Cost 0-0
I need something that I can put all my music onto, so I don't have to carry any CD's.

Bears Office Chair: Cost 9
I really need a new computer chair and this is only a seasonal item, so it won't be around forever. I fell in love with this chair.

Female Escort: 0-0

Because it is well known, and widely accepted, that the "players" who recently passed Roger Maris' record of 61 HRs did it by cheating. I personally feel that, although the official record is currently with Barri Bonds (sorry for the spelling, but he's always looked to me like a man who prefers other men - perhaps why he felt the need to artificially bulk up), but the True Home Run Record still belongs to Roger Maris. Don't give me any garbage about needing the hand/eye coordination to even hit the ball in the first place, and that steroids don't help a player do that - steroids help turn all those warning track flyouts into HRs, so steroids do add an unnatural and unfair advantage to those players who feel the need to cheat.

I tried using one of the other ports but the sound comes out very soft of quiet, even if it is turned up all the way. Is there a way I can make it louder? Do I need a pre amp? Can it even work?

I know that Bret Favre has broken all records(?). If I remember correctly was or not George Blanda on the starting roster until he was 45 yrs young. First as a QB then later as a field goal kicker for the Oakland Raiders?

I thought it would be kinda cool to take my portable cd player, and use it like a record player. If i disable the button that stops the cd when the lid opens, and i disable the anti-skip feature, then is there any way that this could work?

thanks

I met these cool people at a bar the other night, and we all totally hit it off. Problem is, I have been under the radar for a long time, and I dont know what to invite them over for. I don't have a tv, just a good stereo and record player and cd player- Maybe I could cook dinner and we could have some drinks and just talk and stuff? Give me ideas. I am 28, they are like 27 or so.

probably an Ipod.
That'd be pretty cool. Fully charged, loaded with all songs of all genres.
though It'd probably look like a huge antique radio by then.

tell me about yours

I have several old LP's that I would like to burn to CD's using the recordnow in the computer, if possible.

i just need to know if you can record your voice onto a cassette tape through your radio?

when the author was a teenager, the rate of rotation for popular music records on a record player was 45 RPM

a) express the rotational velocity in rev/s
b) through how many revolutions doesw the record turn in a time of 5s?

please explain in an easily understandable way

I was asked this question and I replied "Jam Master Jay". This is coming from a documentary I saw. It could be more of a turntablism type of doc. I'm not sure......

i love female jazz or blues vocalists, from old ella to stacey kent, jane monheit, diana krall, bebel gilberto, i even like popular music vocalist such as kt tunstall, fiona apple, joss stone, pink, michelle branch, etc. as long as the recording is good. i need new CDs!!! i am thinking getting feist (ipod commercial), can you recommend a few artist out side my list? the ones you thin absolute must-have?? I'm only interested in excellent female vocalists and good recording. thanks a bunch!!!
p.s. my setup is fisher tube amp, jensen speakers, all from the '60s, even the cables are vintage. the only modern is the cd player. it is a wonderful setup for vocal music!
Thank you all for the recommendation so far! more please! :)

i brought out my dads old record player and i am wondering if i could use a guitar amp for it instead of buying an amp from the store?

i thought about buying a computer from ibuypower.com instead of alienware because it's cheaper. i dont know if this is a wise choice. i wanted to know... is this a good build? pay no attention to the speakers i have good ones

I would like to replace my CD player (jukebox) with a comput- erized, indexed list of my CD collection to play through my stereo system. I possess an old laptop that I can use for memory, and I also own a video ipod. My home stereo system includes a Denon receiver. What software, hardware, and what connection methods do I need to use to create a digital server for playback of my own CD collection? How do I set it up? Bonus points if answering person knows how to explain to someone who understandss English but who is not a computer expert!

I know about pocket dish. I wanted something that doesn't have a screen and can connect to a portable dvd player.

I heard that i could pick up xm radio on my antique am tube radio. Is that true? is there some thing i have to buy? How much?

can you record mp3s using windows media player or the jukebox ive been trying to figure it out forever.

Could anyone tell me more about the Serenade doll made in the 1960's. I believe she stands about 12" to 18". She has blonde hair that I think was in a ponytail. She came with a pink record player and a 45 record. She had a built in speaker and used a Dvolt battery. I also believe the doll was made by mattel. Her head was a soft vinyl and her body was hard plastic.

it is a 1960's
