I just got a new record player, but someone said it might need a new stylus and i need a reciever, How much would this cost me?

I used to use a vhs recorder and record to vhs tape.

can you use a dvd player to record directly from cabel tv? What type of dvd do I need?

Ok, so growning up when i was 3-7 my family always said how i was "wise beyond my years" and how i "knew things" or "knew" old song from the 70s with out even hearing them before. As i grew older i went to auditions for disney/nick i couldn't make it to the showcase because it cost 5,000 dollars. But the ady told me that from a scale to 1.0-4.0 i was a 3.9 on my singing...she said most ppl were a 2.5.
this was a boost of confedence. ALL my life i have lsitened to MJ, he is who inspired me to become a singer.
But...for some reason i am sooo atracted to everything from the 1970-1989. including shows,clothes,music
ive been wanting a RECORD PLAYER SOOOO BAD. but my mom says jokingly to me "you seriously should be like 44 years old right now...cus u shoulda been born back in the day" lol
but idk i am like OBSESSED with old things...idk why i had to be born so late.
i love vintage clothing and retro clothing!

Is There Something Bad about my obsession...like is this bad shouldn't i be into disney and pop magizines....and the latest trends?

Looking for a record player. Speakers not needed. Just a good needle on arm.

I have a working record player set up that is less than desirable. I have a Technics SL-BD20D hooked into a preamp then into a tiny philips stereo (through a head phone sized auxiliary jack).

What is a good reciever or stereo to get?
Maybe even a new record player?

I just want a cheap set up that doesn't sound that bad. Any suggestions on the proper set up of a home stereo system with a record player would be helpful. I know nothing.

Are they pretty much universal? (One size fits most kinda thing) Are they cheap? Easy to find?

I am looking at a few dj mixers. are those the mixers where you can use different soundpools to create techno, dance, hip hop music.

I grew up in the 60's &70's and dwant to regain a lot of the old records I used to have. I had lots of them from easy listening to hard rock. When I left home 2 weeks before I turned 18 I only go the clothes on my back. Now, My dad and step Mom are passed away and I have no way of getting or seeing if they had them. I have a record player. I love Music and love to sing.

Does anyone know the value of a Stromberg Carlson TV Set? Im not an antique specialist. Im not sure of the year, I looked but didn't see it listed. It has three knobs on each side of the screen, the screen itself is ovalized, and it has a pullout record player. It is in relativley good condition, but it has just been sitting around collecting dust. We plan on selling it at a garage sale. So if anyone could give me a rough estimate or even info on the model im talking about it would be apprechiated. Thanks.

Its for recording classroom lectures. my portable media player has a small av input that external video recording device can be connected to to record videos/lectures.

I have Pioneer PL-1150 turntable. I have some records I want to play and the turntable itself won't turn. I can turn it on and put the needle on the track but I have to spin the record myself to hear anything. I'm getting a new turntable for my birthday (at least I hope) but I don't want to wait a month til I can play any of the records I have. Anyone know how to fix it? I'd greatly appreciate any input!

I've tried craigslist and ebay, found nothing similar to it. It is a model H-169 console model from the 1930's or 1940's.

I have an old record player that I need to connect to a set of new speakers. To do this I need a cable that goes from the new speakers to the record player. The problem is that the port to plug them into is an older headphones port. Does anyone know where I can find a converter for this?
