I have a realistic lab-240 turntable with auto return. The arm has a weight on the back that you can turn, this balances the arm. when i play a record (33 not so much a 45) the arm sweeps over the record. Is it the weight in the back that i have to get right to balance it or is it something else?

I am looking for a new turntable that has a vintage look with speakers that have good sound (volume and quality). I would like for it to be under 0 and I would also like to be able to connect to the speakers in my house if I wanted to. I know this is very specific, but does anyone have any ideas of which one I should get? Thank you.
One that is heavy very breakable made simular to plaster. In a Record store, museum,on line, antique store or someones property ect...... My aunt had a player in her attic one with a sound horn on it. She had boxes of album's. I played and broke them. I wish i had them now!
Oh i do mean 78's
I have one of those big cabinet stereos with the record player and 8-track in it and when i turn on the power or mess with the volume knob, the speakers pop really loud. The audio gets staticy and cuts in and out as well. As suggestions as to how i could fix this?
they're both similar and round, except you can play a record on both sides
Did the inventor of CDs steal the idea from LPs?
I have a Urei 1620 Mixer and I want to sell it however I don't know how much it is worth. Does anyone have an educated guess to how much I could sell it for?
I'm sure that most remember recording programs using a VCR for when they couldn't watch it on the channel. I have this Memorex Dual Player (Discontinued) and it has a composite port to plug other devices into. I want to record my Wii and upload it to my computer but I need to store it in something compatible with my computer. How could I record my television using a DVD player?
Record Player
Reel to Reel Player
8 Track Player
78 rpm records
The needle that presses down on the big CD to play the music?
Thanks
Hi - I am the proud new owner of a Fisher Studio Standard Record Player. I grew up listening to records and it is a sad fact of time that I have NO CLUE how to use this machine. I'm going to need step by step instructions ... including... 1. Does that rubber mat stay in place and the record goes on top of it? 2. What does that weight at the end of the arm do? It has value choices of 0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, etc. How do I use this? and 3. Can someone really clarify the size of the LP - are the largest records the 45's? (for fully recorded albums, not the singles). HELP!
Okay...so I got this really nice RCA stereo for Christmas. It also came with an mp3 player that you can hook onto the stereo to record songs from the radio...BUT....I really wanted to be able to use the mp3 player with my computer also. And for me to be able to do that this guy said that I have to download the newest firmware and windows software and I was just wondering if anyone could help me figure all this stuff out. Please?
Thanks a lot if you can!
Jeannie
Its a portable record player that plays all size records and stereo also. Has cassette port also and
CD player. That name is all I have on the front of
the player. It was a gift so that is why I have no
other info.
All I know is that it says Zenith Genuine Diamond Stylus. If I need a model number, can someone tell me where to find it?

The dumb thing was at walmart back then so surely someone had one??? i think this was in 79, 80 81 82 something like that
i may need the right term cause i have tried ebay no luck
Okay so a few years back we bought a new record player... which is automatic and plays 6" and 12" records. I just bought a 7" record from one of my favorite artists: Ratatat. Im pretty stoked to get it, the LP is coming out on Vinyl only so it should be pretty exclusive. anyways im worried that my record player will not play the beginning of the song... :-/ im young and not too knowledgeable with record players either but i know how to operate it. it has a Stop, Start, and Cue button (what is cue??). i want to hear the whole record... not just as if it were a 6 inch... HELP...there's a switch that lets me switch to either 6" or 12" and it automatically goes to that spot and drops to start playing.
has any one ever owned a laser disc type of movie player? The movie is the size of an LP record that slides into the player and when the movie is half way over, you turn it over. What's the real name also?
I recently decided that I want to restore an old radio (preferable one with those beautiful Zenith black Dials)
I'd love to learn about where to start, I guess getting one is the first thing, being a college student, I really don't mind having to work hard on the radio if it cost a little less. I think the "Cathedral" style is my favorite. Help me learn where to start- where to get one at what not.
Thanks-

I've been seriously considering music production for a fair amount of time. I went to guitar center and checked out turntable kits, I don't know much at all about turntables and mixers or anything. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good way to learn how to use turntables and mixers for hip hop use, scratching, mashing, etc. I was also wondering if anyone knew of any relatively inexpensive kits that include 2 turntables, a mixer with effects (i.e. echo, flange, etc), you know something with a lot of options at a relatively low price. Preferably including speakers... and any advice on mp3/usb/iPod turntables and CD turntables? All help is greatly appreciated!!!
I mean in terms of Season and all time. Do you think it should be Bonds or do you think it should be a different player. I do not mean who physicaly hit more but which player do you think played fair and had the record at a point.
When I turn my record player off, if I want to keep my spot on the song, i just keep the needle on the record. When i turn it off everything slows way down and gets deeper until it turns off.
I know why it does it, but im just wondering if it can screw anything up?
Ok - the last time I used a turn table was about 23 yrs ago so I can't remember the name of the little circlar "disk" that went fit inside the record hole to make it fit the turn table. There was also one that fit onto the turn table (as opposed to the actual record).
I need the names of these do I can search for one on Ebay....I have some old records I want to play for my kids (9 & 3 - never seen a record!!) but they're 45's & don't fit the turn table.
Just searched Ebay - is this it?
